Minden Moo

The Minden Moo is a two-day celebration of the CVI’s 35th Birthday by honoring the long heritage and rich history of ranching and agriculture in the Carson Valley.

The Carson Valley Inn and TJ’s Corral will serve as the headquarters for the Minden Moo – the CVI’s celebration of our 35th Birthday on August 16 and 17, 2019. The event includes local ranches competing in mechanical bull riding, horseshoes and a ranch truck show and shine. Enjoy the entertainment with an ICE COLD COORS LIGHT.

Attractions include food, beer, line dancing, live music, farmer’s market and a display of antique tractor and other ranching equipment from local ranchers and collectors.

The Minden Moo Timeline 

Friday, August 16:

3:00 PM:  The Food Court and Farmer’s Market open in the lot adjacent and to the west of TJ’s Corral. Bar service will be in TJ’s Corral.

5:00 PM:  Bull riding check-in begins in TJ’s Corral.

6:00 PM:  Bull riding competition begins in TJ’s Corral.  1st place = trophy + $500, 2nd place = trophy + $200, 3rd place = trophy + dinner for two in CV Steak.

8 – 9:30 PM:  Line dancing with a DJ and caller in TJ’s Corral.

Saturday, August 17:

11:00 AM:  The Food Court and Farmer’s Market open in the lot adjacent and to the west of TJ’s Corral. Bar service will be in TJ’s Corral.

2:00 PM:  Horseshoe tourney check in begins.

3:00 PM:  Horseshoe tourney begins.  1st place = 2 trophies + $500, 2nd place =2 trophies + $200, 3rd place = 2 trophies + dinner for two in CV Steak.

7:00 PM:  Doors open in TJ’s Corral for Concert

8:00 PM:  Justin Lee Band entertains in concert. Video will be shot for their upcoming single release. Watch for ticket info coming soon.
